Giorgio Armani A/W 12/13

A few weeks ago I was at the Giorgio Armani show during Milan Fashion Week. My lovely little camera was not able to capture the styles on the runway, but luckily about a million professional photographers were there for just that, so I will show you a mix of my photos (don't worry it will only be a few!) and some made available in cyberspace.

Mr. Armani showed very bright colors in orange and pink combined with black and grey. I liked the city shorts and men's-like (flat!!) shoes.

BAFTAs dress from H&M

I have been waiting for this moment and been wondering who would be brave enough to pull that off! Wearing an H&M dress on the red carpet at a grand award show! I think Michelle Williams did it to perfection at the BAFTAs yesterday.
I adore the magnificent creations of the great designers, which we usually see on the red carpet. Even though this is a custom made H&M I think this proves that it does not have to cost loads of money to be stylish! Well done!

Givenchy and Madonna

.....a match made in heaven! I just watched the half-time show from yesterdays Super Bowl again and I must say it is just as cool the second time ;-)

Here are the Givenchy Costume Sketches by Riccardo Tisci of the fantastic outfit Madonna was wearing at the show.

Shopping in the great USA

Last week I was in the great States of America to visit family and friends. The Twin Cities in Minnesota – Minneapolis/St. Paul and the beautiful country side of Wisconsin!
As always, I got excited about the American made items that are better priced than in Europe and with the dollar in our favor, why not go for it.

The best buy was the Olympus camera XZ-1 a fantastic point and shoot!
In Banana Republic I bought a black long sleeve shirt and a classic skirt from the petit line, so it fits perfectly to my 163CM J In a charming shop in “Uptown” Minneapolis I found the t-shirt you see in the middle – nice and loose! Aveda hair products are made in Minnesota and therefore half the price of Europe. The same is the case for Redken and KMS J
In Barnes and Noble I found a wonderful calendar for 2012 with shoes – can’t wait till next year  so that I can replace the French landscape that is the theme for our 2011 calendar, although also beautiful. In this great bookstore, with a Starbucks attached, I also found books about Blogging, Yoga and Fashion.
A few carmex, daily multivitamin, Tony Bennett Duets CD,  American vogue and BIG earrings raps it up :-)
