Milan Fashion Week - streetstyle

During fashion week the city fills with all kinds of fashionable people and a sense of style that is extraordinary even for Milan.

The atmosphere surrounding the each show is wonderfully eccentric, chaotic, and the seriousness connected to the big business, that fashion is, shines through.

In the coming days I will share my observations on the streets of Milan during fashion week.

I know that the bike it a little out of place, but I really like that even the bike locks are the color of this season ;-)

BAFTAs dress from H&M

I have been waiting for this moment and been wondering who would be brave enough to pull that off! Wearing an H&M dress on the red carpet at a grand award show! I think Michelle Williams did it to perfection at the BAFTAs yesterday.
I adore the magnificent creations of the great designers, which we usually see on the red carpet. Even though this is a custom made H&M I think this proves that it does not have to cost loads of money to be stylish! Well done!

Givenchy and Madonna

.....a match made in heaven! I just watched the half-time show from yesterdays Super Bowl again and I must say it is just as cool the second time ;-)

Here are the Givenchy Costume Sketches by Riccardo Tisci of the fantastic outfit Madonna was wearing at the show.

Spon Diogo - Copenhagen Fashion Week

Yesterday Spon Diogo showed their Autumn/Winter collection 2012 in Copenhagen. I really love the sharp lines, bright colors and elegant simplicity. What do you think?

I found a little background information at www.notjustalabel.com about the designers with Danish roots who recently relocated to Berlin.
Mia Lisa Spon and Rui Andersen Rodrigues Diogo have worked together as a design team for more than four years and have designed for various companies on projects such as male / female Prêt-à-Porter collections, jewelry, bags etc. Mia Lisa Spon is a trained tailor and has worked for Danish and Swedish fashion and apparel companies. Rui Andersen Rodrigues Diogo is self-taught in the field of design. Rui ran an art gallery and boutique in Reykjavík and has worked as an arts editor on Danish fashion magazine III and with industrial and graphic design. They both live and work in Copenhagen. In the spring of 2008 they founded their label, SPON DIOGO, presenting their collections in Copenhagen and Paris every season. Mid October 2008, their first 10-piece collection, exclusively for Danish boutique PARISTEXAS, was launched. This capsule collection was a pre-collection for their Spring/Summer 2009 collection entitled "FACETS". Their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection is a full collection comprising of 35 pieces. Their approach to designing is architectonic, graphic and strongly based on their love for materials and tailoring. The Spon Diogo woman is urban, very social and strong.

Chloé marked down!

Ok – that is not fair!
On my facebook wall OUTNET.COM asked: Hands up - who wants to be a Chloé girl? We do! Both my hand immediately went so far above my head that I could not reach the keyboard. Hmmm….
