December 24th - Monica Vinader, YSL & DVF

Dear reader I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

It is Christmas and I have 3 presents to unpack in my “pakkekalender” today. We are celebrating Christmas in Denmark <3 and we drove all the way from Italy with a stop in Zurich to have dinner with some wonderful friends. It was a long drive from Zurich (Switzerland) to Haslev (Denmark), but it was nice with snacks, Christmas music and the company of the love of my life! But it made it difficult to reach the internet from the Autobahn, so therefore I did not post my “pakkekalender” the last two days.

This is what I would love to wear tonight at our Christmas dinner: Monica Vinader Nugget 18-karat gold-plated moonstone earrings, Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo suede pumps and a beautiful Diane Von Furstenberg New Jeannie Two printed silk-jersey wrap dress!

December 21th - MIU MIU

The sale started in my favorite web-shop www.net-a-porter.com. YAY!

So today I will unpack this fantastic MIU MIU ruched crepe blouse (that was marked down 30%). I love it!

December 20th - MARNI

Consuelo Castiglioni from the Italian label Marni will be the next guest designer for H&M. We have to wait till March 8^th, 2012 but we might as well start getting a feel for the style!  

This wonderful brass, horn and resin necklace is from Marni and I love it!

December 19th - CHANEL & Côte d'Azur

I had a wonderful weekend in Callas, France!

Wonderful country-side, wonderful friends and wonderful weather – sun, rain and SNOW! Yep the first time I ever saw snow on a palm tree ;-)

I will share some pictures from the trip and unpack a present from my absolute favorite top design house of France (and the world!) Chanel.

December 16th and 17th - Maison Martin Margiela and Givenchy

I feel so fortunate! Another weekend out and about – this time we are going to visit friends in Cote d’Azur! So I am going to do the unthinkable and open two presents today ;-)

This fantastic crystal-embellished coil ring from Maison Martin Margiela and these fabulous bucked sleather Sandals from Givenchy, which would look fantastic with a pair of long socks and allow me to use them in (dry) winter weather!

December 14th - ZARA

December 13th - BIJOUX HEART

Today it is Santa Lucia and we are invited to a big event Swedish style in Milan tonight. I would love to unpack these sparkly earrings today and wear them tonight.

December 10th, 11th AND 12th - HAY & COS

Ok, even though you can easily bring an imaginary “pakkekalender” on your weekend get-a-away it seems that you may also become so distracted that you can’t find time (and technical patients to get the iPad to work…!!) to publish a blog post. BUT that gives me three wonderful things to wish for today!

Back in Milan after a wonderful, but cold, weekend in wonderful Copenhagen and after having started the day running through the city with the man I love and a dear girlfriend, I feel wonderful ;-)  

Copenhagen was full of Christmas markets, street entertainers and stores decorated beautifully giving a festive holiday spirit. I enjoyed some Danish Christmas specialties and had a wonderful time with family and friends. I actually also managed to do some of our Christmas shopping ;-)

One of the stores we went to was HAY where I got very inspired! The Pinocchio rug is an explosion of color and I love it!

We were also in COS which is another Swedish design wonder and I must say it is difficult to keep to one item, so I will let the two last presents be from COS.

The great thing about an imaginary “Pakkekalender” is that you easily can bring it when going away for the weekend! We are in Copenhagen and here I would love to unpack this dress from the Swedish giant H&M.

December 6th - Mulberry

It is getting colder in Milan and today’s present in my “pakkekalender” would keep my hands nicely warm – uhh wonderful Mulberry Polly Push Lock cashmere-lined leather gloves.

December 5th - Chanel

The book Northern Women In Chanel - an absolute beautiful book is my present in today’s “pakkekalender”  

The book was published July 1st 2011. It is limited to only 2112 numbered copies worldwide. Swedish couple photographer Peter Farago and stylist Ingela Klemetz-Farago have collaborated with Chanel to release Northern Women in Chanel, a book of fashion photos featuring forty-five Scandinavian beauties wearing Chanel including Carmen Kass, Helena Christensen, and Freja Beha Erichsen.

Ingela stated, “It was a fashion journey” – and what a journey it was with unlimited access to Chanel’s fashion archives! Over the course of one year, the duo shot over 300 looks featuring Chanel pieces from the present to one-of-a-kind pieces dating back to the 1920′s.

The preface is written by Karl Lagerfeld in celebration of these Northern beauties.

December 3rd - George Jensen

Unpacking today’s present in my imaginary “pakkekalender” and finding these George Jensen ornaments to put on our Christmas tree would be wonderful.

We will decorate our Christmas tree later today. Maybe I will share a picture on facebook when it is done ;-)

December 1st - Julie Sandlau

Christmas is near – YAY! I love December with all its Christmassy wonders. Milan lights up like a Christmas tree, so it does not matter that it is cold and dark. Even in the fog (which is typical for Milan) the lights make everything bright and help the holiday spirit along. I have got a candle that counts the days until Christmas – it is apparently a very Danish tradition (Thanks Annette for bringing it from Denmark!).

When I was a child my mother would make a Christmas calendar that had a present for us every day till Dec 24^th in Danish it is called a “pakkekalender”.  It was fantastically magical to wake up excited to see what was in today’s present. Unfortunately I am no longer a child and hence do not get a present every day of December. Nevertheless I am going to pretend and throughout December I will post something that I would love to be giving for “pakkekalender”. It is never too late to be childish – especially around Christmas ;-).  

Today I would love to unpack these earrings from the Danish designer Julie Sandlau.
